Our story

A two generation family-owned business.

Breslin Builders & Decorators was started in 1967 by Michael John Breslin. Jason Breslin joined the firm in 1986 and attended Cambridge College of Arts & Technology, gaining his qualifications from the City and Guilds of London Institute.

Since then Jason has built up an experienced workforce carrying out work throughout Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding East Anglia areas. Our work has taken in churches, school extensions, private hospitals and nursing homes, alongside private homes.

We offer complete building and home decorating services, from property refurbishments of Grade Two listed buildings to new builds and private home extensions. And because we're still a family firm, you deal with the family.

Our team can manage your project from drawings to completion. We have an extended family of sub-contractors that includes groundworkers, bricklayers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, painters and home decorators, so the right people turn up at the right stage.

We work closely with estate agents, estate managers, landlords and private individuals to make sure every customer gets the highest standards of care.

Excellent local family business. We recently had the exterior of our house painted which is quite large and needed quite a lot of repairs first. Jason and Jordan were a very friendly and hard working father and son duo. They arranged for rendering and carpentry repairs and completed the job quickly and to a high standard. They were very considerate and worked around my wife working from home and my daughter napping. We will certainly use them again for any future projects.
